You lift off in the dark, drift with the wind at treetop height, and watch the plains resolve out of the blue hour. There is no engine noise. It is genuinely unlike anything else on a safari.
Caveat one: it is weather dependent and cancellations happen. Book it early in your stay so there is room to reschedule.
Caveat two: if the budget is tight, three extra nights in a good conservancy will give you more wildlife than one hour in the air.
For honeymoons, milestone birthdays and once-in-a-lifetime trips, we recommend it without hesitation.
