Our role as a DMC
Premylance Adventures designs and operates ground arrangements in Kenya and East Africa and works with travellers directly as well as with overseas travel agents and tour operators.
For services we do not own — lodges, camps, hotels, scheduled and charter airlines, boats, balloon operators and park authorities — we act as agent for the supplier, and their own terms and conditions of carriage or stay also apply.
Quotations and confirmation
All rates on this website are quoted in United States Dollars, per person sharing unless stated otherwise, and reflect availability at the time of quoting.
A quotation is an estimate, not a reservation. A booking exists only once we issue a written confirmation and the deposit has cleared. Prices may change before confirmation due to supplier rate movements, park fee revisions, taxes or exchange-rate shifts.
Deposits and payment
Unless your confirmation states otherwise:
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking and hold accommodation.
- The balance is payable no later than 45 days before arrival.
- Bookings made within 45 days of arrival are payable in full at confirmation.
- Peak-season, festive, charter-flight and balloon-safari elements may require earlier or full prepayment, which we will state in writing.
- Bank charges and card processing fees are payable by the client.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations must be sent to us in writing and take effect from the day we receive them. The following scale applies to the total trip cost, in addition to any non-refundable supplier or airline charges:
- More than 60 days before arrival — deposit forfeited.
- 60 to 46 days before arrival — 40% of the total cost.
- 45 to 31 days before arrival — 60% of the total cost.
- 30 to 15 days before arrival — 80% of the total cost.
- 14 days or fewer, no-show, or unused services — 100% of the total cost.
Amendments
We will always try to accommodate changes to dates, party size or accommodation. Amendments are subject to availability, any difference in rate, and supplier amendment charges. Reducing party size may change the per-person rate because vehicle and guide costs are shared.
Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travel. Your policy must cover medical treatment and emergency evacuation, trip cancellation and curtailment, and loss of baggage or valuables. We are unable to accept liability for losses that adequate insurance would have covered.
Passports, visas and health
You are responsible for holding a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date, obtaining the correct visas or travel authorisations, and meeting vaccination and health-entry requirements. We are happy to advise, but requirements change and remain the traveller's responsibility.
Itinerary changes and force majeure
Wildlife, weather, road conditions, park regulations and flight schedules are outside our control. We may substitute accommodation or adjust routing with the closest available equivalent, and we will tell you as soon as we can.
We are not liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, flooding, fire, epidemic or pandemic, civil unrest, government action, strikes or airline failure.
Conduct and safety
Guests must follow the instructions of guides, pilots, rangers and lodge staff at all times, respect wildlife viewing distances and park rules, and behave with consideration for local communities. We may decline or end participation, without refund, where behaviour endangers others.
Liability
We accept responsibility for arranging the services described in your confirmation with reasonable skill and care. Our liability for the services of independent suppliers is limited to that of an agent, and in all cases is limited to the value of the services booked, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Complaints and governing law
Please raise any issue with your guide or our operations team while on safari so we can fix it. If a matter remains unresolved, email info@premylanceadventures.com within 28 days of returning home.
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.
